ADDISON, Ill.- February 8-10, 2024 - The Addison Ice Arena, affectionately known as "The Madhouse in Addison", lived up to its name as the Chicago Crush Elite and the Motor City Gamblers engaged in a three-game series that had fans on the edge of their seats.


Game 1: Crush Edges Out Gamblers in Overtime Thriller

The series opener on February 8th was a rollercoaster of emotions, with both teams leaving it all on the ice. The game showcased stellar goaltending, bone-crushing hits, and heart-stopping goals. The Crush took an early lead with a commanding 3-0 advantage in the second period, only to see the Gamblers claw their way back and force overtime. In a moment of sheer brilliance, Niko Dougan sealed the deal for the Crush with a game-winning goal, sending "The Madhouse" into a frenzy. The intensity carried over to the second game on February 9th, where the Crush faced off against the Gamblers once again. After a scoreless first period, both teams unleashed their offensive firepower, resulting in a 4-2 victory for the Crush. Johnny Augusta's stellar goaltending and a resilient penalty kill unit were instrumental in securing the win. The Crush's top scorers, including Jaden Yuknis, Austin Kessel, and Joseph Coglianese, showcased their offensive talents, contributing crucial goals to extend the series lead to 2-0.

The final installment of this epic series on February 10th brought heartbreak for the Crush as they fell short to the Gamblers in a 4-1 defeat. Despite an early lead from Jace Levine's goal, the Gamblers rallied in the second and third periods to secure the win. The goaltending duel between Kyle Tyszkiewicz and Braedyn Sullivan intensified, with Sullivan standing tall against the Crush's offensive onslaught. Penalties plagued the Crush, hindering their power-play opportunities and contributing to their downfall.


The series showcased the resilience, skill, and passion of both teams, leaving fans eagerly anticipating future matchups between these divisional rivals.
